Dev Log #04 | Rule Interaction Audit and Next Phase Planning

Illustration

Today we conducted a comprehensive UX audit of the auto-organization rule configuration interface. From rule list to new rule wizard, from trigger conditions to execution actions, walking through the entire process discovered many experience issues, taking this opportunity to fix many legacy UX defects as well.

This audit discovered 23 issues, divided into three categories by severity:

P0 (Critical): Functional defects or data loss risk - 5 P1 (Medium): Poor experience or non-compliant with design specs - 9 P2 (Minor): Visual detail optimizations - 9

All fixed now, released in 6 batches:

  • Always-save model: Rules no longer lose configuration due to validation failures
  • No step skipping: Can’t skip required steps to directly save empty rules
  • Consistent outer padding: Visually more organized

Batch 2-4: Experience & Interaction (Released)
